Catalogue Picks for Fall Pt.2: Delyle Noir, DaTuRa, GOLDSinfinity and Rady

I'm sorry for the wait! I'm actually quite busy BUT, here is the second part of my catalogue picks or in fact, most of the brands in this part don't have catalogues online so I went through their online content instead. Here is the previous catalogue picks post

These brands have a rather distinct style, and are a little less trend-dependent, they're in a bit of an isolated segment, but we still see a lot of farmiliar things here~ The issue is that it's harder to distinguish which items are this year's and not last year's and then finding everything.. new items are released throughout the season anyway and we're a few weeks in, it's a little confusing, but here it is, the best I have for you!

Let's start off with Delyle Noir! A few of the items seem to be the same as last year, the dress they were pushing last year is only slightly different from the one they seem to be pushing this year~!

This is this year's dress, winter floral.

Versus last year's or one very similar to last year's, leopard.

So still a lot of white from summer, the red and the black/white that we've seen on a lot of stuff so far, just the whole white top/patterned bottom kind of dress thing, they're cute right? So I like seeing them in winter too!
This is my other favourite item from Delyle Noir, it's the tweed suit with shorts :D

It's got cute pearl details on the sleeves and around the bottom of the jacket. We'll see some more of these kind of jackets and this kind of embellishments in other brands of this sort too~ Just like the neck embelishments on the dress, that seems like a pretty common thing now, I guess you've seen it 100 times by now but yeah

And just to add to your options on some of the trends we've seen before, there's a leather-look jacket here and a wooly dress, like we saw from Duras before.

Delyle used to be such a cutesy brand but since they became ~*~*Delyle Noir*~*~ they're all grown up and fancy~

Next is DaTuRa, which is actually a store I would say looks a lot like gal budget stores, think of stores like Skinny Lip etc~ Even though I'm not sure we can call them budget that much.. I think a lot of these pieces are actually from last year but they are what pops up when you look for the a/w stuff!

This is a look they were promoting in Larme magazine. It's interesting because the printed set+bat sleeve cardi is a distinct gal style silhouette but the fluffyness of the cardi and the polkadots on the floral print make it kind of special~

This is what DaTuRa suggests as their A/W items~

Undenyably gal! Here we see more of the bat-sleeve cardis, winter florals, white top+printed bottom dresses, peplums and checks. A lot of it is black and white and here's the blue we saw in the previous post on A/W catalogues.

In this mix-set they're promoting we also see some more of that magenta! :D That's just so cute :3
So that's DaTuRa, to be honest I'm not even that big a fan myself because I feel their items sometimes kind of miss the point :X Like the shape is too bold its not elegant anymore or the print on the items aren't as classy or original as their price may demand, but I did decide to share the brand as it seems to have become a big player among gal brands!

Next up is GOLDS infinity, I told you about how GOLDS changed over the last years here. What I like most about their winter stuff is actually the way they style it, the models' hairstyles and things!
I have to be honest it's not easy to figure out what is the new stuff but as these items are from "New Arrivals" I'm guessing this is the A/W collection.

This is one of the most elegant items I found on their page. The check on these trousers is cute and casual but the cut of the trousers is so elegant, I really like how they made this look ladylike and mature!

Here is a LBD with some kind of cutouts around the waist, I've seen a few more of those here and there and I think they can accentuate the waist very well :)

Another more corporate looking coord, like we've seen a lot on the previous post, but as it's a short skirt it's super sexy and reminds me all the more of what Agejo used to look like in like 2008 or something ;)

Here's some houndstooth that survived since last winter~! Houndstooth also takes me back :D I was in love with houndstooth shorts similar to these by Cecil McBee in 2007 and 8! But the turtleneck with the embelishments around the neck (or is that just a necklace?) are very 2014~

This last one is kind of like a bridge to the last brand I'm discussing here :3 The dress with a streak sown in is very much like Rady stuff we saw last season~ or before that actually~ And the cardigan with the embelishments like that also resemble Rady cardigans!  The point here is that it's black and white, plus neck embellishments, which we've seen a lot! though the look could have been a little more figure flattering~

You can find some of the latest GOLDS items on Yessttyle here, along with some of their classics too! It's worth checking out :)

Last but not least (last because it's my favourite) is Rady, which had an actual catalogue! I'm really just posting here for the general eye candy, look at it~

Here's one of those winter pastels I talked about in the previous post, yellow~! The embellishments are on the pockets here and I'm loving the furry collar, lady-like and cute :D

Here's a simple dress with a flared skirt and embelishments around the neck :)
After all the white last season we get some black again, for people who like this style Rady sells, but thinks white doesn't suit them, there is a way around that ;)

This coat OMG I love it so much :D omg omg omg soooooo classy! I'd like to be logical about this but I really can't, it's just posted here because it's gorgeous~

And another leopard dress like we saw up there with Delyle Noir, but this leopard comes with black, it looks very fancy and evening-ish :) I love it! I love this shot in general, so cute!

So far the Rady fangirling :3

So to summarize, since last post we've seen some more black and white, checks, florals, winter pastels but a little more color and...leopard! I think you get the idea :) I'm planning a short and tiny bonus post about this fall's style for later, to wrap this up~ I'm pretty excited about that one so if you're bored with this now I hope the next will be a little more stimulating :D

Catalogue Picks for Fall Pt. 1: Rienda, Duras, Lip Service and Cecil McBee!

So as it's September now, it's time to take a look at fall fashion, from Japan, in my case anyway! Last year I wasn't really into reporting about it, but to be honest it doesn't look radically different from last year this year! Which is great it means I can recycle many outfits ;)

If you look at the trends from the catalogues only, it's a pretty dry version of taking in the information, so if you see this and you feel fashion is boring...DON'T! It will be ok, this will be cute I will prove it to you later :)

Let's start with Rienda, sorry for obvious marks of it being screenshots of the catalogue. You can view their catalogue online here.

So according to this shot, we can see a lot of black and white patterns, mostly check-like, a camel trenchcoat kind of thing. red details, and a somewhat bulky masculine touch on the trousers and jackets. (the pieces may be masculine but more the type that brings out a girl's girlyness anyway~) That's a lot of information but as we'll see some of these come back in the other brands, at the end of this post you will remember the basics I think...I've just been playing a game of pairs with the catalogues... But I don't like breaking them down into trends as I prefer to keep the separate brands' styles in tact...

Rienda girls are having fun in navy blue and floral patterns! And the check-like grey items are like a mature and corporate continuation of the pastel gingham in spring~ I am very into this style to be honest I think it's adorable, but I imagine it with more bold jewelry and make-up, at the moment it looks a liiiiittle like the OL's monthly nomikai..

Speaking of corporate, check out the trench and the jacket look with the grey pattern peplum here..

It's gorgeous stuff but if it were a little longer I would wear it to a job interview. I would like to see a more playful interpretation of this on the staff blog later!

Next is Duras. They have two catalogues for fall winter one was a preview and one features ex-Nuts models Sayoko Ozaki and Anna Yano. Look at this houndstooth, black, lace, floppy hat, and big jewelry! It's pretty classy! But I've been seeing floppy hats for so long now, I didn't even know they were still out there!

What may be a new thing is the shape of the skirts, kind of like a-line mini skirts! I don't even know whether I like them :o but they're quite 90's~ And for purses, Vogue tells me it's about small formal looking bags.. I'm not surprised..

Here's a few more shots for the hell of it, black and white check, leather-like jackets! Actually this might be new this year, in the intensity I leather blouses and jackets covered this year..though I've seen them represented in western fashion more. And the beige long jacket, maybe we can imagine this as a replacement of the camel trench!

Also, black and white print, and a-line mini skirt!

Another recurrent theme I see here and there is this magenta, like in this dress! Considering most of the trending colors are black, white and neutrals, you can pull off a crazy color in the middle of this palette, no problem. So if it were me, yeah I would go for magenta!! I've seen cute magenta nails can go anywhere with this color~

And last but not least the wooly dress on the right page under here, it's a thing! I've seen more of them ;) They are comfortable and sexy. The left page is a good example of casual demin style I see this all over the place but I'm not interested in representing it because honestly you can think that much up yourself in my opinion!

Next up is Lip Service! Where you will see...a lot of the same! Wooly dress, in black and white. Sexy and comfortable..I think?

This is kind of new! It's light blue!

I see some of the pastels from last year and last spring survive into winter actually, some yellow and more blue, just the cool pastels. In that sense this is a very cool fall, I've seen some red but overal it's a cool palette for my taste..

Here's another floral, Lip Service did a great floral last year too :D So this may be a little dull in the catalogue but it will be cute on actual people! If Happie Nuts would still exist I trust they would show you this is actually very cute!

Here is the Lip Service version of this year's trenchcoat.

I kind of want a trenchcoat now~! What is interesting is that Lip Service is doing the trench with the choker just like Rienda did with one of their models, but I suppose someone else did it before Rienda~

One last thing we haven't yet seen in the previous brands' catalogues, but that we will see in others and have seen since before summer anyway is the font detail!

I've seen text details a lot in what is it called, pastel style? And I think it's a super cute and playful detail!

For today the last one is Cecil McBee! I'm really just involving Cecil McBee because the staff is cute and as back up to my claims above! Let's start off with their font detail :)

I've seen a similar jacket in Amsterdam, with actually sheer black sleeves! That was so cute but I really have to stop buying stuff just because they fit a trend or a style...because half the time it fits a style I don't even care about ^^;; I'm a super compulsive follower right now, if I recognize a style at all, I have a very hard time not buying related items...

Another camel bulky jacket and professional looking trousers!

And then, magenta! Wow the model has wonderful hair here, also note the lace detail on the top!

And the Cecil McBee alternative to the blue Lip Service jacket~

Honestly you can go anywhere with Cecil McBee, people will tell you it's not gal style, well I agree with that to some extent but in Kyoto our Cecil McBee staff was gal and SO SO SO SO spot-on that I had to come and admire them from time to time!

So, I hope to write you a little more exciting post on fall trends including brands like Delyle Noir, Datura, Rady and GOLDS Infinity! These brands have a little more original style and I hope I can excite you for those!

Kawaii International Prize Review: Blue Dress and Knit Cardi from GOLDS Infinity!

Hello all! How are you today! I'm very excited to finally write this post :D
It's about the GOLDS Infinity Items I received from Kawaii International as I was one of the winners of the Prospective Kawaii Leader contest! I was very excited about the Golds Infinity prize! Because their style in recent years has been more mature, but they have sweet details that refer to their agejo past!

Did you know I own some GOLDS Infinity items from previous years? I have a very typical Hime dress, and a more elegant black floral top! I think any agejo or hime gyaru that has been farmiliar with the style for a while,  must have witnessed the change in the items Golds has been producing, I would like to refer you to this post Mitsu wrote on Universal-doll a few years ago, she really caught the moment Golds was changing from a predominantly agejo brand to a more lady-style brand!
Nowadays Golds is focussing on their fans abroad! Yesstyle is an official dealer of Golds stuff outside Japan. You can see their page here, I've seen some lovely items :D
I intend to zoom in on the a/w catalogues and collections from several brands this month, and I think Golds would add another nice angle into a/w trends so 'stay tuned' they say~

The photo Kawaii International provided of the GOLDS Infinity prize was this one:

I was sold right away on the pucci print, but I am afraid that competing with the other up and coming brands like Swankiss and KOKOkim, applications for the GOLDSInfinity prize may have been few...Where are all my lady style gals?!

I planned to pair the look with a floral crown, as the day I wore it was an unexpectedly summery day! And because wearing this long printed dress makes me feel like a fairytale princess!!! So let's just get on with the pictures :D

As you can see the skirt is slightly sheer but it has a formfitting under-skirt attached, so it's really no problem! And the belt like attatchment on the waist is adjustable with shirring in the back and lacing in the front!

I am a boobie lady ^^;; but I am very happy this dress is sleeveless and strapless, as from Japanese stores, sometimes finding something that fits over my boobs and my shoulders can be a pain, but this dress was ok!

The cute knit cardigan is like an upgrade from my Uniqlo cardi, it has actual sleeves but it is oversized and appears as a batsleeve thing if you slide it off your shoulders :) it has long pointly ends you could tie them under your boobs to keep them warm ;)

So, like I wrote above, I felt like a princess in my lovely Golds dress! It's so flowy and nice, I felt so fancy! It was great for celebrating the end of summer, I think with bigger hair and without the cardigan or with a more formal one this dress is also great for parties :o let me try that sometime! I'll show you when I do :)

A special thanks to Kawaii International again for providing these lovely items!
